Why should I pay for a professional when I can do it myself for free?

If you are here, I guess you have already explored this option. Yes, of course you can do it. There are plenty of site builders out there, but as you may already know - nothing comes free. Firstly, it does take time. Secondly, it is a learning curve. Do you have the time and energy to learn new skills and produce an awsome tool that stands out and actually helps your business?

How much does it cost?

Most designers don't like to advertise their prices for various reasons. I am here to save you both time and money by offering a fast, honest and professional service, so to give you a rough idea of a cost involved you need to consider the following: - Design (usually paid once, depending on number and complexity of pages - I charge £75 - £150 per page). - Subscription charges (paid monthly, annually etc.) for use of software, domain, personalised emails. Average cost £200 per annum. - Having your own, quality pictures save you lots of money and makes your site very personal. If you need generic pics, copyrights mean they need to be purchased. An average price of my website is around £700 - all in (bespoke, up to 5 pages web including your domain, subscription and a personalised email should you need one), but please remember - every project is different, and every customer has different needs and expectations. Therefore, it is always best to have an obligation free chat about your project first. I will always fully inform you of what you will get and how much it will cost before you commit.

How long does it take?

As we are going to work together - it really depends how organised/available you are. It also largely depends on the type and size of the website. Usually, for a static, straight forward web it takes between 5 to 8 days, but I can be ready with the first draft within 24-48 hours if you are in a hurry, providing you know exactly what you are after, and have all the text and photos ready.

What happens once the website is ready?

It is up to you. There are 3 options: 1. I can transfer the ownership to you, so you can completely manage the website yourself. At this point I will have no access, so you will be fully responsible. 2. I grant you permission to change the content i.e. upload photos, change text etc. You will have your own account and password (unknown to me). This option is great as we can collaborate on any future updates. 3. I can manage it for you for a modest fee (agreed in advance).

What type of websites are there?

There are several types of websites, depending on your needs. All my websites are bespoke, I start every project from a blanc page, so whatever you have in mind can be done. The most popular types are: - a static website (just a straight forward basic web design) - CMS website (great if you would like to have a blog or ability to log in) - eCommerce (online shop)
